Football Game Preview: Arlington Admirals vs. Scarsdale Raiders

The Arlington Admirals will challenge the Scarsdale Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Arlington was able to grind out a solid win over Suffern, taking the game 28-16. The Admirals haven't had any issues with the Mounties recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Arlington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Rancourt (C) out in front who threw for 238 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Rancourt (C)'s passing game has become a key predictor of the Admirals' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise. Brent Withers helped Rancourt (C) out on the ground, picking up 80 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 38 yards.

Arlington didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jordan Pease and Jonah Beaudoin. Arlington received some extra help from Jackson Hogan, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Scarsdale beat Clarkstown South 21-16 on Friday.

Scarsdale now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Arlington, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
