North Broward Prep came tearing into Thursday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Neumann Celtics an 11-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

North Broward Prep got a great performance from Logan Bristol as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits Bristol has allowed since back in February.

At the plate, Kiernan O'Neill was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Max Burkholz was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

North Broward Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

North Broward Prep's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Neumann, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.

North Broward Prep and Neumann should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. North Broward Prep will challenge Everglades at 6:30 p.m. on Friday up 263 places (22 vs. 285). Meanwhile, Neumann (ranked 41st) will meet East Lake (ranked 141st) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
