Softball Recap: Columbia's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Columbia and Triad pushed the score to 11-10 the last time they played Triad, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The Eagles fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since March 21st.

Columbia's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-4. As for Triad, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia will square off against Edwardsville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Triad, they will challenge Civic Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
