Basketball Recap: Columbia Heights Comes Up Short

Columbia Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 93-45 loss at the hands of the Hopkins Royals. While losing is never fun, the Hylanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Royals are ranked fourth).

Columbia Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hopkins, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Columbia Heights will take on Robbinsdale Cooper at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Hopkins, they will challenge Orono at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
