Recap: Teague Lions vs. Franklin Lions
The Teague Lions lost against the Franklin Lions back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Teague took a serious blow against the Lions, falling 81-42. Teague has struggled against the Lions recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Teague lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jehmel Rice. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Leija, who scored ten points.
Teague has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Franklin, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-8.
Teague will head out on the road to square off against the Black Cats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mexia will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak alive. Franklin will take on the Bison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Buffalo is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
