Softball Game Preview: Pisgah Bears vs. East Carteret Mariners

The Pisgah Bears will head out to square off against the East Carteret Mariners at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pisgah will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Pisgah can't be too worried about heading out to take on East Carteret: they just beat West Carteret at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Bears narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Patriots 4-3.

Meanwhile, East Carteret fell victim to Croatan and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 10-0. That's two games in a row now that the Mariners have lost by exactly ten runs.

Pisgah's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for East Carteret, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.
