Basketball Recap: Pike Central Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pike Central). They escaped with a win on Saturday against the Evansville Bosse Bulldogs by the margin of a single free throw, 42-41. The Chargers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Pike Central's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7. As for Evansville Bosse, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Pike Central will head out on the road to face off against Perry Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Evansville Bosse, they will be home for the holidays to greet Wood Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wood Memorial will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Evansville Bosse surely won't give up without a fight.
