Basketball Recap: Freeman Beats White Swan for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Freeman had won four straight games and Rylee Russell did her part to make it five on Saturday. The Freeman Scotties breezed by the White Swan Cougars to the tune of 56-21 thanks in part to Russell, who went 10 of 16 on her way to 27 points and four steals. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Taylee Phelps, who posted ten points and five steals. She has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last four times she's played.

Freeman's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for White Swan, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Freeman will face off against Warden at 3:30 p.m. on January 4th. As for White Swan, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-31 loss against Wellpinit on the 2nd.
