Volleyball Game Preview: Hickman County Falcons vs. Mayfield Cardinals

Hickman County is 2-8 against Mayfield since August of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the Cardinals at 9:00 a.m.

Hickman County came up short against Calloway County on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Mayfield came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Tigers.

Hickman County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mayfield, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Hickman County might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Mayfield when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
