Baseball Recap: Wirt County Comes Up Short

Wirt County lost against St. Joseph Central back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Irish. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wirt County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Boice, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Wirt County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for St. Joseph Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 21 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Wirt County nor St. Joseph Central have any future games scheduled.
