Barbers Hill is 8-2 against Port Neches-Groves since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Barbers Hill Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Port Neches-Groves Indians at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Barbers Hill was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-46 to Beaumont United. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Port Neches-Groves didn't have quite enough to beat Port Arthur Memorial on Friday and fell 55-53. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 412th, while the Titans are ranked 103rd).

Barbers Hill's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 15-7. As for Port Neches-Groves, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.

Barbers Hill was able to grind out a solid win over Port Neches-Groves when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 68-60. Does Barbers Hill have another victory up their sleeve, or will Port Neches-Groves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
