Basketball Recap: Sheldon Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Sheldon can bid farewell to their 15-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 46-37 victory over the Bronaugh Wildcats. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Wildcats last Friday, they had to take a 65-58 loss.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Strauss Banes, who posted seven points along with seven assists and five steals. Banes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Colter Banes was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Sheldon's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-14. As for Bronaugh, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Sheldon has already played their next game (against Miami), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bronaugh has already played their next contest, a 46-43 victory against Fair Play on the 30th.
