Football Game Preview: Hand Tigers vs. Cheshire Rams + How To Watch

The Hand Tigers will square off against the Cheshire Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hand will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, Hand got the win against Hamden by a conclusive 32-7.

It was another big night for Lucca Boyce, who rushed for 119 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also caught one TD. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Another player making a difference was Bobby Reh, who threw for 146 yards and two touchdowns.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Hand proved: they limited Hamden to a paltry two yards per carry. The Tigers didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.5.

Meanwhile, Cheshire faced North Haven in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Rams received a blow as they fell 35-21 to the Nighthawks. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Nighthawks: they've now lost four in a row.

Cheshire's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for Hand, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Hand beat Cheshire 35-22 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
