Softball Recap: Capuchino Mustangs vs. Woodside Wildcats
Capuchino won against Carlmont last Thursday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Mustangs beat the Woodside Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won eight in a row.
Lola Sierra made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Star Gutierrez was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Dana Motroni was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Capuchino always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Woodside only posted an OBP of .286.

Capuchino pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
