Basketball Recap: Steelville Comes Up Short

Steelville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 48-30 to the Ste. Genevieve Dragons. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 51-40 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Steelville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Ste. Genevieve, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Steelville Cardinals duke it out with the Belle Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on January 3rd. Ste. Genevieve has already played their next game, a 55-46 loss against Arcadia Valley on the 31st.
