Basketball Game Preview: Reserve Mountaineers vs. Animas Panthers

Reserve is on a seven-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, Animas a 15-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The Reserve Mountaineers will host the Animas Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Reserve was beaten by Pine Hill 69-34.

Meanwhile, Animas had to suffer through a 73-15 loss at the hands of Magdalena. The match marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Reserve will have to keep a close watch on James Jarvis and Weston Strickland, a pair of players who had a big impact on Animas' prior game. Jarvis posted eight points, while Strickland scored no points.

Reserve's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Animas, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.
