After losing to Yorba Linda the last time they met, Sonora decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Raiders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Mustangs on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Robby Blaine spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

Sonora was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Yorba Linda only posted a batting average of .231.

Sonora's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Yorba Linda, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 17-7-1 record.

Sonora will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
