Basketball Recap: Wisner-Pilger Gators vs. Clarkson/Leigh Patriots
Wisner-Pilger was the 42-39 winner over Clarkson/Leigh when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Wisner-Pilger Gators took a 37-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clarkson/Leigh Patriots.
Clarkson/Leigh's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brynn Settje, who posted eight points in addition to seven boards and six steals. Settje is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed six or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Baylee Settje, who scored nine points and eight rebounds.
Wisner-Pilger has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Clarkson/Leigh, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
