Baseball Recap: Manzano Takes a Loss

Manzano lost against Rio Grande back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Manzano took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rio Grande.

Bodey Ethridge led a balanced group of hitters, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Braeden Lucero, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Manzano's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Rio Grande, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manzano will take on Del Norte at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Manzano is facing Del Norte at the right time seeing as Del Norte is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Rio Grande, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Rio Grande Ravens face off against Volcano Vista Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Volcano Vista will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Rio Grande surely won't give up without a fight.
