Basketball Recap: Portage Beats Hobart for Their Fourth Straight Win

Portage won the last time they faced Hobart and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Portage Indians skirted past the Hobart Brickies 36-34. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Portage found their leader in sophomore Courtney Clark, who posted nine points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Byrd, who put up 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Riley Weber and Hallie Pendleton certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Weber dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards, while Pendleton earned nine points along with six boards and five steals.

Portage's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Hobart, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-5.

Portage didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-20 loss against Crown Point on the 6th. As for Hobart, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 53-41 defeat against Illiana Christian on the 11th.
