Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Manheim Central). They never let the Palmyra Cougars get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory on Wednesday. The Barons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.
Riley Hostetter made a big impact no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Hostetter was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Abby Logan was a standout: she scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Emily Roeting was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Manheim Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palmyra only posted a batting average of .000.
