Basketball Recap: Sound Christian Drops Highest Score of Season Against Quilcene

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sound Christian). They blew past the Quilcene Rangers 82-53 on Monday. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 26 points or more this season.

Makai Resseau was his usual excellent self, going 10 for 16 on his way to 26 points. Those 26 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kona Resseau, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 assists.

Sound Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Quilcene, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Sound Christian will head out to face off against Muckleshoot Tribal at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Muckleshoot Tribal will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Sound Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Quilcene, they will welcome Concordia Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Concordia Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Quilcene likes a good challenge.
