Ranked No. 7 nationally by MaxPreps, Tigers move this week's game to Nov. 27.

College football isn't the only level of the sport being hit hard by the pandemic. At the high school level, No. 7 Katy (Texas) became the third nationally-ranked team to reschedule or cancel a game this week when it moved a contest with district rival Tompkins (Katy) to Nov. 27.

Originally set for Thursday, the Katy-Tompkins clash was pushed to Saturday and then eventually to the back end of the season in November after a COVID-19 case was identified within the Katy program.

The Tigers are 3-0 this season and coming off a 59-3 victory over Seven Lakes (Katy). Katy is among the state's most storied programs with eight state titles – including six in the 2000s – and three national crowns.

The other MaxPreps Top 25 teams forced out of action were No. 8 Lowndes (Valdosta, Ga.) and No. 22 Allen (Texas), which will both be sidelined for at least two weeks.
