Basketball Recap: Durfee Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked North Quincy

North Quincy typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Durfee proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the North Quincy Raiders 54-52. The win was all the more spectacular given the Hilltoppers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Raiders are ranked 18th).

Durfee's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-9. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.67 points across that stretch. As for North Quincy, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-3.
