With a playoff win on the line, Rice Memorial rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Lamoille Lancers as they made off with a 12-0 victory. Considering the Green Knights have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Alayna Havreluk made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI.
In other batting news, Bella Messineo and Lynsey Nagle did most of the damage at the plate: Messineo got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and three runs, while Nagle went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
