Volleyball Recap: Raymore-Peculiar Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Raymore-Peculiar challenged Lee's Summit on Tuesday. The Panthers came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

While Raymore-Peculiar was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-12.

Despite the loss, Raymore-Peculiar saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brexton Winchel had ten digs and nine assists.

Raymore-Peculiar's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11-1. As for Lee's Summit, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 15-9-1.

Coming up, Raymore-Peculiar will take on Staley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lee's Summit, they will welcome Lee's Summit West at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
