USC Hybrid came tearing into Wednesday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Esperanza College Prep Guerreros with a sharp 3-0 victory.

While USC Hybrid won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-6, 25-22.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead USC Hybrid to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elsworth Felix, who had 17 kills and one block. Felix has been hot, having posted six or more kills the last five times he's played. Francisco Sandoval was another key player, getting 15 digs and four aces.

USC Hybrid was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 15 aces in five consecutive games.

USC Hybrid's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. As for Esperanza College Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, USC Hybrid will welcome Brio College Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Esperanza College Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
