Basketball Recap: Midland Takes a Loss

Midland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The game between them and the Bradford Eagles didn't end well, with the Midland Mustangs falling 57-42. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-45 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Midland still got an impressive performance from Riley Pruitt, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Pruitt has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Haden Pierce, who posted five points and 11 rebounds.

Midland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Bradford, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-13.

Midland has already played their next match, a 58-55 win against Shirley on the 7th. Bradford has also already played their next contest (against Concord), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
