Basketball Recap: Berean Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mt. Diablo last Friday, Berean Christian came back down to earth. The Berean Christian Eagles had to suffer through a 68-31 loss at the hands of the Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles. The Eagles have struggled against the Ugly Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Among those leading the charge was Jacob Gentry, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jett Tran, who posted eight points and three steals.

Berean Christian now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Clayton Valley Charter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.

Berean Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-42 defeat against Alhambra on the 24th. As for Clayton Valley Charter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 42-37 loss against Campolindo on the 28th.
