Basketball Recap: Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis Crusaders vs. Mississippi Valley Christian Warriors
Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 48-19 defeat at the hands of the Mississippi Valley Christian Warriors on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 52-30 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2021.
Despite the loss, Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis still got an impressive performance from Zoey Zamarripa, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
The victory (which was Mississippi Valley Christian's fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.
Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis will be playing at home against The Fulton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mississippi Valley Christian, they will take on Westwood Baptist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
