Softball Game Preview: Mission Bears vs. Washington Eagles

The Mission Bears will square off against the Washington Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Mission put up the most runs they have all season on Tuesday. They came out on top against Burton by a score of 20-16. Considering the Bears' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

While Washington didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-6), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 14-9 victory over Galileo on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won five in a row.

Mission's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Washington, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
