Volleyball Game Preview: Manila Mustangs vs. Rangely Panthers

The Manila Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Rangely Panthers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Manila is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Manila didn't have quite enough to beat St. Joseph and fell 3-2.

Manila took St. Joseph into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-9, 25-20, 20-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Rangely duked it out with Hayden on Friday. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Tigers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted against the Tigers since October 1, 2021.

Rangely had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 17-25, 25-17, 25-20, 15-10.

Rangely's victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10. As for Manila, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.
