Soccer Game Preview: James Monroe vs. Summit Christian Academy

The James Monroe Mavericks will challenge the Summit Christian Academy Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. James Monroe's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Tuesday, James Monroe didn't have quite enough to beat Bluefield and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Summit Christian Academy and PikeView finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday. Both teams had to tread carefully at times as the refs weren't afraid to hand out yellow cards: Adam Jones was handed one for Summit Christian Academy, while PikeView got theirs courtesy of Logan Murphy.
