Soccer Game Preview: Conifer vs. Pomona + How To Watch

The Conifer Lobos will venture away from home to square off against the Pomona Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Conifer is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Wheat Ridge on Wednesday. The Lobos fell just short of the Farmers by a score of 2-1. Conifer have struggled against Wheat Ridge recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Pomona fell victim to Golden and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Demons, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Pomona can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Golden are ranked 69th).

Pomona's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Conifer, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 4-2-1.

Conifer took their victory against Pomona in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 9-1 score. In that matchup, the Lobos amassed a halftime lead of 5-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
