Softball Recap: Kanab Comes Up Short

The Kanab Cowboys came up short against the South Summit Wildcats on Friday, falling 21-5.

Gracie Jensen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Leah LaPlant, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Kanab's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for South Summit, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Kanab will host Clearfield at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for South Summit, they will be taking part in a tournament against Cedar Valley at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
