Football Recap: Lejeune Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lejeune and Northampton County squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Lejeune had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Jaguars 50-7. The Devilpups just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Grady Mahaffey threw for 60 yards and one TD. Cameron McKinnis was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards. On the ground, Austin James rushed for 26 yards.

Northampton County found their leader in sophomore Amare Gills, who rushed for 150 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also caught one score. The Jaguars are undefeated when Gills posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-7 otherwise. William Whitaker made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Lejeune's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Northampton County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Lejeune nor Northampton County have any future games scheduled.
