Recap: East Central Cardinals vs. Bishop Kelley Comets
After losing to the Bishop Kelley Comets the last time they met, the East Central Cardinals decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. East Central sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 32-30 win over Bishop Kelley on Thursday.
Bishop Kelley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Erin Jolin, who scored six points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Anne Blankenship, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
East Central's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Bishop Kelley, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Central will take on Plainview at TBD on Friday. Plainview has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Bishop Kelley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
