Basketball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the DSST: Cedar Falcons 68-39.

Despite the loss, Lincoln still got an impressive performance from Adeshina Alassani, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 16 boards. What's more, Alassani also racked up seven blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Dechon Traylor, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead DSST: Cedar to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bowen Tieperman, who scored nine points. Same Mehari was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for DSST: Cedar, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-9.

Coming up, Lincoln will take on Rocky Mountain Prep SMART in a tournament on Tuesday. As for DSST: Cedar, they will face off against DSST: College View at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in DSST: Cedar's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.
