Maryville waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Heritage Mountaineers as they made off with a 66-42 win. That's more bragging rights for the Red Rebels, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Maryville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Hazelbaker, who posted 12 points and four steals. Jonathan Woodlee was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Maryville pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Heritage, they moved to 9-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Maryville and Heritage should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. Maryville (ranked tenth) will meet Hardin Valley Academy (ranked 62nd) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Maryville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.3 points per game this season. Similarly, Heritage (ranked 100th) will meet Sequoyah (ranked 359th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
