Volleyball Recap: Akron-Westfield's Loss Ends 13-Game Winning Streak at Home

Akron-Westfield suffered their biggest defeat since September 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals, falling 3-0. The Westerners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Royals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Akron-Westfield's defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2. As for Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Akron-Westfield has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Sibley-Ocheyedan on the 4th. As for Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Hinton on the 4th.
