Soccer Game Preview: Vancleave vs. Laurel

The Vancleave Bulldogs will square off against the Laurel Golden Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vancleave's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Vancleave fell victim to Wayne County and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the War Eagles.

Meanwhile, Laurel came up short against East Central on Tuesday, falling 5-2. The Golden Tornadoes have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Laurel's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7-2. As for Vancleave, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything went Vancleave's way against Laurel when the teams last played back in January, as Vancleave made off with a 3-0 win. Will Vancleave repeat their success, or does Laurel have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
