Baseball Game Preview: Stagg Delta Kings vs. Tokay Tigers

For the second straight game, Stagg will face off against Tokay. The Delta Kings will challenge the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Tokay hit Stagg with a eight-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Delta Kings fell 10-7 to the Tigers. The Delta Kings have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

For Tokay's part, Brock Sell and Noah Van Dyke did most of the damage at the plate: Sell got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Van Dyke went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The Tigers are 9-3 when Sell posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dante Rodriguez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.

Tokay has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Stagg, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.
