Peyton Houston Crosses Big Stat Threshold
On Thursday, Evangel Christian Academy had to settle for second even though Peyton Houston put up the best numbers he has all season. Houston threw for 817 yards and eight touchdowns while completing 81.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.7 passing touchdowns per game. His passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 348 passing yards dating back to last season.
Evangel Christian Academy is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. Houston will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Benton on Friday.

He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
This season, Savage has thrown 19 touchdowns while averaging 267.8 passing yards per game.

Kenny Darby Goes Supernova in Airline Victory
Airline picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Kenny Darby. Darby did his part (and then some), picking up 77 receiving yards and three touchdowns for the 'W'. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending three passes.
Airline's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Darby and Airline will head out on the road to challenge Haughton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
