Basketball Recap: Churchill Takes a Loss

Churchill suffered their closest loss since February 1st on Thursday. They fell just short of the Tualatin Timberwolves by a score of 57-55. The Lancers lost against the Timberwolves in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 78-48 score last time.

Churchill's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Tualatin, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Churchill will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bend at 2:30 p.m. on December 30th. Tualatin also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Millennium at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th. Millennium knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Tualatin likes a good challenge.
