Cornerstone Charter has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Piedmont Classical Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cornerstone Charter has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Cornerstone Charter scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 43-35 win over College Prep & Leadership Academy. That looming 43-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Cornerstone Charter yet this season.

Kaylen Williamson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maloree Walthaw, who scored six points along with six rebounds.

Piedmont Classical suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 57-16 defeat at the hands of Bishop McGuinness. Piedmont Classical was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-9.

Cornerstone Charter's win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-9. As for Piedmont Classical, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Cornerstone Charter was dealt a bruising 64-32 loss at the hands of Piedmont Classical when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Cornerstone Charter was down 34-10.
