Volleyball Recap: Kouts Takes a Loss

Kouts was the 3-1 winner over Hanover Central when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs & Fillies fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Mustangs & Fillies fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Wildcats since Monday.

Kouts wouldn't go down easily and took Hanover Central into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-11, 21-25, 23-25, 15-12.

Kouts now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Hanover Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Kouts will challenge South Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Mustangs & Fillies their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Hanover Central, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Andrean at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Fighting 59ers at the right time seeing as the Fighting 59ers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
