Volleyball Recap: Walsh Jesuit Warriors vs. Steele Comets
After flying high against Cuyahoga Falls on Tuesday, Walsh Jesuit came back down to earth. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Steele Comets on Wednesday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
While Walsh Jesuit ultimately came up short, they really made Steele work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-21, 14-25, 25-19.
Steele found their leader in sophomore Callie Beckler, who had 20 assists and six digs. Beckler is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 15 games she's played.
Walsh Jesuit's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Steele, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.
As of now, neither Walsh Jesuit nor Steele have any future games scheduled.
