St. Dominic gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the St. Mary's Gaels. The victory continues a trend for the Bayhawks in their matchups with the Gaels: they've now won seven in a row.

Luke Lang looked comfortable as he struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, St. Dominic let Ray Kim and Dominic Muccia run wild. Kim scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Muccia went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Nick Vitale was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

St. Mary's is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

St. Dominic will have a chance to go back-to-back against St. Mary's: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
