Basketball Recap: T.W. Andrews Gets the Win

T.W. Andrews posted their closest win since December 15, 2023 on Saturday. It was close, but they capped 2024 with a 67-64 victory over the LEAD Academy Panthers.

Despite the loss, LEAD Academy still got an impressive performance from Anthony Petway, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine assists. Petway's afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalen Jefferson, who posted five points and four steals.

T.W. Andrews is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for LEAD Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

T.W. Andrews wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 78-64 win against Grace Christian Academy on the 30th. As for LEAD Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-50 loss against Sun Valley on the 30th.
