Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Homewood-Flossmoor walked away with it. They breezed past the Curie Condors to the tune of 56-8 on Saturday. The Vikings' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Homewood-Flossmoor's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kourtney Smith, who rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Ryan Koprowski was another key player, throwing for 121 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes.

The win (which was Homewood-Flossmoor's third in a row) raised their record to 6-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.0 points over those games. As for Curie, they moved to 8-2 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Homewood-Flossmoor nor the Condors have any future games scheduled.
